Migima, LLC

Andy Jordan has been in law enforcement for over 35 years and is the former Chief of Police in Bend, Oregon. He began his career in Fresno, California, became a Deputy Sheriff with Deschutes County, Oregon, then with the Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office, and finally with the Bend Police Department where he worked his way up the ranks from patrol officer, patrol sergeant, detective sergeant, lieutenant, captain and then Chief of Police in 1999. Andrew managed a staff of 87 sworn and 25 support staff. In 2003, Bend Police received state accreditation - one of a handful of departments in the state to receive this status. As Chief for nine years, Jordan instituted a "Command College" that he taught monthly to 60 employees to build capacity in leadership. He later became Director for the multi-jurisdictional 911 Emergency Center.

Andrew's expertise is in criminal justice strategic planning, leadership in law enforcement, project development and technical assistance. He co-authored the article "The Prison Rape Elimination Act: What Police Chiefs Need to Know," Police Chief Magazine, April 2006.

Andrew directed the planning and building of several public safety facilities (police, 911 dispatch center, municipal court addition to police services building).

Andrew has a strong commitment to being active in his community including Rotary and sitting on several boards of directors such as the KIDS Center (child advocacy center) and HIDTA (High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area), the State Board on Public Safety Standards and Training appointed by the Governor, as well as being active on various law enforcement committees.

Andrew holds a Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice from California State at Fresno, CA and graduated from the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy in Quantico, Virginia in 1995.
